Tashiro-jima (or Tashirojima), 田代島, is a small island in Japan. It has become known as “Cat Island” due to the large stray cat population that thrives as a result of the local belief that feeding cats will bring wealth and good fortune. The cat population is now larger than the human population on the island.

Gross. I’m warning you.
So. This morning has started out terrible. My parents are fighting about the most stupid things. I get ready for school lay in the living room and drink like 3 big glasses of water. When I get into the car I start to feel terribly sick. So anyways we drop my mom off and go to the gas station. I go in to get something cause my dad insists. And the first thing I do when I get in? Throw up water everywhere. Well not everywhere just. It was gross and the guy behind the counter was super sweet about it. I was hella embarrassed and hella upset. But I didn’t cry like I usually do. He was like are you okay? And was like its okay, I’ve had mornings like that too. And I was just like shocked. He told me were to find the Tylenol. And cleaned up my mess and gave me a towel. Thank god for people like this. He made me feel so better. Even though I still feel a little sick. Hopefully I don’t throw up again. That’s my story I just thought everyone should know about this awesome dude and how you react to things can really change the way people feel.

This is my youngest daughter, Ava. I felt that I needed to share the conversation she and I had after a school field trip today.
Ava: Mommy, we saw Princesses skating on the ice!!
Me: Wow!! Did you have fun?
Ava: Yeah, but there is a best part!!
Me: What was it?
Ava: We got to meet the Princesses and I asked Snow White if she had a boyfriend.
Me: (Laughing) Did you? What did she say?
Ava: She said she did and then she asked me if I had one!! And I said I had one, but I didn’t like him any more.
Me: Oh. Well, how come you don’t like him anymore?
Ava: Because I like my other friend now and then I got scared and asked her if I could still be a princess and she asked why so I told her that my friend I like is a girl and I want to have a girlfriend.
Me: (a bit surprised) Oh. Ok, well what did she tell you?
Ava: That’s the best part! She said that as long as I have love I already AM a Princess!!
